Hi. I'm Kate with crateinsider.com, and today we're taking a look at the David Smith carburetor for 602s and 604s. This is a 650CFM carburetor for either of those choices of engines. If you're running a CT525, take a look at our listing for the 750CFM, but I want to really point out some of the features that are available on this carburetor.
So it really starts with a billet center section, and David ... This is of course David Smith Carburetors, and David has switched over to that billet centered section because with that CNC machining, it is just so much more accurate than hand porting. So you get a much more consistent result. It's just a wonderful piece to start with. The base plate itself is also CNC machined. It's a billet based plate, and they're billet metering blocks.
Now these metering blocks are also outfit with an adjustable emulsion system. Now I had to ask David what that meant, and what he told me is that that means that it's going to add air to your fuel before it gets to the boosters. Or, another way to put it is you can use it as a timing device. So this all billet carburetor here, it can be powder coated in a number of different colors. You can order it as natural, or on our website, we offer them as red or black, but if you would like to get a custom color, we can certainly work that out. It just has a little bit of a lead time with it.
Another thing to point out is we have stainless steel butterflies, with nickel plated shafts. That's going to make it more corrosion resistant because we know how some of these racing fuels are. And speaking of racing fuels, when you order your carburetor, you can have it set up for any number of different fuels. And what is so great about that is when you receive your carburetor, you can literally just bolt it onto your racecar, set the idling timer, or the idle, and then you'll be able to get out onto the racetrack.
So that is our carburetor here from David Smith Carburetors. Check it out on our website at crateinsider.com, and thank you so much for watching.
