This race pump has no valves, yet it will pump only as much fuel as needed. This design also provides an anti-drain back feature, so line pressure is maintained even when the engine is off.
The pump, which is currently available for small Chevy V8's, mounts to the stock fuel pump boss and is driven from the same push rod. It requires 25% less force and weighs about a third as much as conventional mechanical pump. The pump body is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and then hard-coated; internals are stainless steel with seals that are compatible with gasoline or methanol.
Required for standard bowl carburetors:
Pressure regulator or bypass-type pressure regulator.
Return line back to the fuel cell.
