QUESTIONS ASKED ON THE SHOW
What are your thoughts about bearing spacers and brake drag on the front tires? Are bearing spacers worth it? And how much brake drag is too much? I didn’t like how much resistance there was on the front tires of my car (southern sport mod) to freely rotate so I installed bearing spacers last week. The hubs rotate about 5-6 times freer now (went from about 2 rotations just from a single push of my hand to 10-12) than they did before which I was happy about. But when I hooked the brakes back up there was so much brake drag that the end result didn’t seem to make a difference (back down to two rotations of the hub from a push from my hand). My dad downplays the benefit of the spacers and says that brake drag is normal. So should I leave things the way they are or is there something I can/should do to make this better?
