I'm also wondering which type of distributor gear is preferred, bronze or steal? 
I have a brand new 604 straight from GM (crossing my fingers and toes that it's right). I'm wondering what oil filter is best for break-in? 
I’ve done everything you recommend….. except cold air box and fan…… looking for hp gain …. Will I pick up with cold air and I’d buy 4 blade fan to change to 2,3,4 blade?
Have you tested the Holley aluminum 4412 carburetor? Is it better than the zinc version?
How often do you replace your Walker air filter? Do they go bad, what to look for?
With the now defunct FUEL series, is there still a rebuilding seal available for a CT525?

Ok so listening to y’all on my way home about 604 valve springs….my motor is older and never has been updated to beehives….so you can buy factory springs for 604? And are there any performance gains by going to beehives? What’s the best way to clean your air filter? Not using an air gun?
What’s required to swap form a Saginaw 3 speed to a brinn style trans?
